in chinese medicine, there are three majors - medicine, Acupunture, and herbs. in China, you need 5 years for a B.S. degree(actually I believe it is the equivalent of MD in USA, because there is no B.S. degree in medical science in USA). after you get the B.S. and you pass the national licience exam, you can practice TCM). Following resource http://www.56.com/u35/v_NDM0MjAyODA.html can greatly help for your tcm learning. for example, the acupunture part teahces you from scratch to full expert level- all the techniques. And you can watch it again and again... better than any teacher in class. However, you have to get a degree from some school.

Make sure to do some research about any school you think about attending. Most schools that offer degrees in acupuncture aren't accredited. Here are two basic guidelines: If everyone who pays their tuition gets a diploma, it's not a real school. If the school only exists online, it's probably not a real school.

For example, this Southwest Acupuncture college doesn't require a four year diploma for entry. So despite the fact that some people may have one, and people do it after college it is NOT a graduate degree. These people need to stop lying and making people with real degrees look less impressive.

Hey, I'm looking into acupuncture school too!

Specifically, Southwest College of Acupuncture in Boulder, CO.

This is what I know:
You must be at least 20 years old for admittance
You need to have at least an associates degree in anything.
The degree time can range anywhere from 3-5 years depending on
how you opt on taking your courses time wise.
This 3-5 years will get you your "Masters of science in oriental medicine" Then depending on which state you in and the state regulations, you can either become an MDOR (medical doctor of oriental medicine) or L.Ac. Licencsed acupuncturist.

Hope that's what you were looking for :)

Between your clinical experience, your outstanding MCAT's and your upward trend in grades I think you're a great candidate for UIC, and maybe some top-tier medical schools as well. 42R is a pretty rare score. Do you have a good reason you could give the interviewer for your weak freshman grades? Your high MCAT's show you get the material.

I had tendinitis in my right elbow for a year. Regular NSAIDs did not help nor did reduced weight workouts by order of my doctor. I drank xango and in 3 days my tendinitis was gone and has never returned. No need for a study to be conducted for me, but I am sure glad they are doing one. More people need to know about how powerful this juice really is.
